Congratulations on the feedback letter to the RSA on their cyclist videos. Mr McKillen has outdone himself with anal retentive claptrap critiquing every little detail of the video. Eight pages of petty arrogant condesending drivel proving that the cyclist constituency is one that will never be happy with reasonable sensible public policy which places responsibility on cyclists for their own safety on our roads.
Mr McKillen is naiive in the extreme to expect such a long winded and petty letter to have a positive impact on policy makers. Rather it serves to reinforce a perception that cycling lobbyists are mainly arrogant self righteous windbags who are best ignored – no political advantage in pandering to a constituency of eccentrics, hippies and cranks that make up the cyclist community
On the evidence available, Joe Malone is a bit of a windbag himself.
